Microsoft Office 2013

The latest version of Microsoft Office, Office 2013, has just been released.

Microsoft has also provided families with a new way to attain this program – this year the company has launched a new subscription-style offer, intended for families and households with several computers or devices. For $119 a year, or $12 a month, you will receive:

  • Office 2013 installed on up to five PCs or Macs and select Windows mobile devices.
  • The whole suite of Office applications – these include Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Publisher, Access and OneNote.
  • Access to regular updates on all of these applications.
  • 20G of SkyDrive (cloud) storage.
  • 60 minutes of Skype calls each month.

Whilst the subscription offer is a simple, all-inclusive addition to the range of Office products, it may not necessarily be right for you and your family. If you have only one or two computers, find you only ever use two or three of the applications, and are not fussed about always having ‘the latest’ version, then it may be more cost-effective to purchase the traditional software.
