HP Slate 7 tablet released

Hewlett-Packard has announced its first Android tablet, competitively priced and available to Australians very soon.

The HP Slate 7 tablet is the newest tablet to enter the affordable tablet market and will serve as a direct competitor to Google’s Nexus 7. The 7-inch tablet is already available for pre-order, and will be available in stores in the near future.

The HP Slate 7 operates on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and has an ARM A9 Dual Core, allowing you to access all the videos, apps and 3-D games that other more expensive tablets offer. With the options of red or silver, the polished tablet has a soft-touch back panel. The tablet also features a capacitive touchscreen, has a long battery life, a great webcam and a good quality of sound for listening to videos and music, making it a strong competitor in the market.
