More families than ever will be spending Christmas in caravan parks by the beach or deep in the bush this year. The October pre-Christmas caravan and camping sale, hosted by Caravanning Queensland, provides the perfect opportunity to select from recreational vehicles, caravans and camping accessories worth more than $10 million that will be for sale.
According to show manager Jason Plant, the Brisbane Showgrounds will be transformed into a caravanning enthusiast’s playground, with more than 400 caravans, camper trailers and motorhomes on display, with great pre-Christmas price tags.
“This is a great time of year to be buying new equipment or updating your existing rig,” Mr Plant said. “Exhibitors are offering exceptional savings on vehicles and gear, some with price tags thousands of dollars off the retail value, so people can hit the road quicker.”
The Caravanning Queensland pre-Christmas caravan and camping sale will be held from October 26-29 and will be open from 10am to 5pm daily. Tickets start at $8 (concession), with free train travel to the event for all ticket holders from as far away as the Gold Coast and Gympie.
“There’s more to choose from in caravans and motorhomes these days and they offer all the comforts of home, including extended living and sleeping areas, ensuites, fridges, televisions, airconditioning and more,” Mr Plant said.
“Once you have your caravan or camper trailer there are endless holiday options, a great social atmosphere in parks and campgrounds, and no need to be locked into a schedule. It’s no surprise Queensland families and retirees are choosing to holiday this way.
