Inspired by powerful jet fighter planes, the Lamborghini Huracán Avio pays tribute to the world of aviation and aeronautics with its name, colours and materials. Only 250 have been produced worldwide with one being available for sale through Lamborghini Brisbane. The price? $491,000 plus on road costs (including GST).
In keeping with the aviation theme, the Jet Hangar at Brisbane’s historic Archerfield Airport was selected for the sleek Italian machine’s unveiling.
References to the aeronautical world include digital instrument clusters, controls located on the centre console as in a cockpit, red engine ‘start’ button, tight stylistic language of exterior lines and a broad range of matt exterior finishes.
White or grey painted details contrast with the body colour and enhance items such as the tops of the side member, side view mirrors and the lip on the front spoiler. A double stripe runs along the roof and down the front bonnet.
The door panels further identify the special Avio version with the logo ‘L63’, where ‘L’ stands for Lamborghini and ’63’ is the year the company was founded.
The new specially-crafted interior has been designed with comfort in mind while the seats feature an exclusive ‘L63’ embroidered logo and laser-engraved Alcantara to keep driver and passenger in place at any speed. The interior colour and trim can also be customised through Lamborghini’s bespoke Ad Personam program.
The Avio has all the technical specifications that have made the Huracán coupe and spider such a success: aspirated 610HP (449kW), 5.2-litre V10 engine; seven-speed gearbox with double clutch; hybrid chassis in aluminium and carbon fibre; and supercar performance – 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and a maximum speed of more than 325km/h.
“We’re thrilled to showcase the stunning Huracán Avio at our showroom in Brisbane,” Lamborghini Brisbane dealer principal Greg Willims said.
“We can’t wait to find the vehicle a special home.”
